Trial Bookmark is a free tool that tracks when free trials of apps and online services end and reminds you before they turn into paid plans. It is operated by Trial Bookmark Pvt. Ltd. (“we”), 4th Floor, Balaji Business Center, Bangalore–Mumbai Highway, Baner, Pune, Maharashtra 411045, which acts as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. This policy explains how we process personal data on trialbookmark.lifestyle in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it.

What we collect

• Data you give us: your name and Indian mobile number, and the reminder dates and labels you add.
• Consent records: the date, time, and wording of the consent you gave.
• Device data: IP address, browser type, and pages viewed; and, only if you allow advertising cookies, identifiers set by the Snap Pixel.

We never ask for or store card numbers, UPI PINs, bank details, passwords, or OTPs.

Why we use it

We process personal data on the basis of your consent to: send the reminders you request by SMS and WhatsApp; reply to your questions; keep the service secure; and, if you accept advertising cookies, measure the performance of our ads. We do not send promotional messages, and reminders are service messages that you specifically requested.

Sharing

We share personal data only with processors that help us run the service — hosting, SMS/WhatsApp delivery, and (with consent) Snap Inc. for ad measurement — under contracts that limit use to our instructions. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data where required by law or a lawful order of an authority in India.

Transfers outside India

Some processors may store data outside India. Any such transfer follows the DPDP Act and is not made to a country restricted by the Government of India.

Retention

We keep your data while your reminders are active and delete it within 30 days after you withdraw consent or ask us to delete it, unless a law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may: obtain a summary of your personal data and how we process it; ask for correction, completion, updating, or erasure; withdraw consent at any time (as easily as you gave it — reply STOP or email us); nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity; and have your grievances addressed. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

We use reasonable security safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect personal data from breach. If a breach occurs, we will inform affected users and the Board as required by law.

Children

Trial Bookmark is only for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly process data of children.

Grievance Officer

We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days, as required under the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
